Faith and the Law of Attraction

One of my favorite things is acting on an intuitive nudge and watching magic unfold. Napoleon Hill says that to some degree we all suffer from lack of self-confidence. His formula to overcome this, and which many top coaches in mindset work are using, is to use the power of autosuggestion: positive affirmations put in writing, memorized, and repeated everyday until they become part of your subconscious mind.

Sounds simple right? Let me take it back one more step to the “ether”; the medium through which all things are created, connected, and interconnected. You, your thoughts, your body, the ether, and everything in the universe are all different forms of energy.

So how do our nudges play a part in all this? Great question! The matrix that connects us to the ether and all things connected is the infinite intelligence that we all have the power to tap into. This intelligence acts as a radio antennae picking up stray radio waves.

We have all heard of the movie The Secret, which laid out some great foundational skills for manifestation, but a lot of people felt stymied when their brand new car didn’t show up.  A quick note on that is that the law of attraction doesn’t actually put dollar bills in your bank accounts or cars in your driveway, but the vivid images you create are burned into your subconscious where they connect with all the energy that is, and your mind starts coming up with ideas on how to make more money, buy that car or bump into that future soul mate you desire. Make sense?

Thinking positively and visualizing that which you desire creates attitudes and ideas so you can create what you want. It is your thinking that will prompt you to act and your actions that make the concrete things come true.

The key ingredient is to act on these intuitive nudges.

These hunches, or nudges, turn up in one of two ways. First, by taking bits and pieces in the subconscious mind and turning it into our thinking mind with ideas and flashes of inspiration. e.g. Maybe I should post where I am having lunch today, and then having a friend from out of town see your post and pop in for a squeeze.

Another way it might show up is by picking up stray radio waves about things you don’t know much about. Suddenly you hit the right frequency with outside thought waves and things show up in your life as premonitions or hunches, about things outside of your field of knowledge. e.g. Being at the right place at the right time for a new job opportunity.

The key to success is to understand that self-confidence, faith, and belief in your ability can all be achieved through positive affirmations and visualizations.

The affirmations are the positive thoughts around what you want to create. The repetition of these thoughts will eventually wear down the old beliefs, creating a new pathway for your new belief to stick and become your reality.

Visualizations can be somewhat tricky, especially if you are stuck in a limited belief. For example, it may be difficult to actually visualize yourself thin, sleeping 8 hours a night, and looking refreshed everyday if you truly don’t believe it is possible or that you deserve it.

Visualizations are the movies running through our minds all the time. First thing when we wake up and last thing before we fall asleep. These movies are what create our reality. You want to bring emotion into these mental movies because the more emotion, the more real it becomes for your subconscious mind and the result is self-confidence that you will have the movie you are creating.

The brain doesn’t know the difference between reality and imagination, which is why I can’t sit through violent movies and don’t want to.  You are what you think not just what you eat.

So give my worksheet a whirl for 30 days and see what you create. Make it simple and fun by starting off small.

Here’s how you use it:

1. Print the worksheet
2. Put pen to paper and write down one thing you want to create in each area of your life or you can choose just one thing to create in 30 days. e.g. Lose 5 lbs, meet a potential new soul mate, new job offer, 3 new customers.
3. Spend 5 min each morning reading your intentions and what you want to create. By repeating the audible words you create a certain vibration of sound in the subconscious mind. These vibrations make us are who we are.
4. Spend 5 min visualizing the person you will become when you create the thing you have written down. Create the mental picture.
5. Commit the positive affirmations and visualization of the new you to memory and repeat each day so that by your full faith it will gradually influence your thoughts and actions so you become self-reliant and successful.

I would love to hear what magic happens for you. Share your thoughts and experiences below!

Are you an aspiring spiritual warrior with daily stress?

Heaviness has a new definition for me. (Ps. Been loving Deepak and Oprah’s meditation series this month which has brought a heightened awareness to this theme.) It can be manifested in the way of extra pounds, brain clutter, discomfort, aches and pains, toxins in the body, and injuries that won’t heal, just to name a few. And we all have run into someone where their energy (mood) just rubbed off on you, or even drained you by the time they walked away. What do we do?

Did you know that 90% of all diseases begin with stress?

This is why managing our day to day stress has become paramount in overcoming our own struggles, and not to mention the stress that other people we love, carry.

No structure required, just mindfulness, and being able to recognize when to stop, drop, and perhaps scream, dance, sit, cuddle, you get the idea.  Enjoy my stress management tips for everyday living.

1. Lions breath: a form of pranayama yogic breathing

link to video for you and your kids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Roxe5M5ys7U

2. 15 min bath w Epsom salts or hot tub at 104: perfect right before you go to bed because it sends a clear message to the brain. “We are done processing for the day and will pick up where we left off tomorrow”. Your brain can actually work things out while you sleep when you prep yourself for a good night’s sleep.

3. Cuddle with your pet: Do you have a hug deficit? Pretty common in the entrepreneur world. We work from home and have to leave the house to engage in conversation, and sometime rush out to meet the neighbors for a squeeze. This is why we need physical touch. It releases oxytocin, aka the “love drug”, whenever we hug or kiss someone. It’s a powerful hormone that acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain. Also greatly stimulated during sex, birth, breast feeding, orgasm, and the list goes on. So hug on, cuddle up, and feel oh so good. 4. Dance break: ROAR is my song for 2016, Yes. I tend to be a little behind and I play it right before a speaking event, to celebrate, or when I am down right frustrated. Shaking your hands, arms and feet, actually moves the negative, stressful energy out and away from the body.

5. My 5:5 Fix: Five minutes of yoga to relaxing music and 5 min of sitting meditation

6. Go for a walk

7. Connect with the earth: lay outside on your back, or just nestle your feet on the ground. The negative energies of the earth can actually neutralize the free radicals running wild in our bodies. It’s called “earthing” and its’ not just some “hippy” thing. There is science behind it.

8. Call a friend and connect: Studies show that women live longer because we are more nurturing. So take time to connect with people you love. Don’t buy into the new mantra of being “crazy busy” with no time to squeeze people in that you really love. Now if you don’t love them, then maybe “crazy busy” is just an excuse running wild in our society that is the perfect phrase to hide behind instead of being authentic with someone. Hmm.

9. SCREAM: Yes. Go ahead and have that temper tantrum. Even better if outside, you will feel SO much better. I find it most useful on the rock, especially when no one else is around and your belayer (the person giving you a catch) doesn’t mindJ

Are you playing a bigger game?

As I write, snowflakes are falling and I am in flannel lined jeans in my office. January and February are always a time for reflection and going deep. I found it harder to get still this winter as I have decided to play a bigger game and “be seen” which has left me vulnerable with a long to do list. The good news is – I have more tools to help manage my stress and keep things in check, including a new hot tub that is being delivered today. Self care…CHECK!

WAHOO!

I have found new tools to manage my stress and use in my coaching programs, that have been really fun, creative, and effective. I have used the adult coloring books that claim they reduce stress and anxiety. They’re awesome! If you haven’t tried coloring yet, go get one today!

I have been working with my Biofeedback machine, the INFINITY, for balancing my personal stress twice a week, but also for balancing my chakras. I had a profound reading by the talented medium, Janet Raftis, on Valentine’s Day that was spot on. I had found that no matter how often I practiced positive affirmations, prayers, and meditation, I still needed a shift on a much deeper level.

Have you ever felt like that?

I felt like I was stuck in many areas of my life and I desperately needed a shift. I couldn’t eat, think, or move my way out of it. I learned that I am incredibly intuitive. Actually,I have always known that but have been afraid of it. This sense of overwhelm that I thought was from grief was actually from a lack of stability and solid foundation in my life – which has been tricky since the loss of my parents but truly started much earlier in my life.

I have since been implementing exercises to feel more secure in my work, relationships, and day to day life. I realized this sense of “overwhelm” was really just being top heavy in my chakras. What this equates to is: wide open spiritually, emotionally, and verbally…HA THAT’S ME, with a lack of solid, supporting, and grounding foundation.

This really resonated with me because of all of the moving I have done in my life, moving every few years growing up, and then continuing on into my adult life as I moved all over the country. Each time I moved I lost that sense of stability, some friendships, and had to constantly adapt. Meanwhile, I was creating a world of emotional stress for me on a subconscious level. Sure makes you wonder why would I do that to myself, right? Well I convinced myself I loved it, and I did on some level, but it had left a serious mark on this woman. My A-ha was that this must explain my intensity around rock climbing. It’s the sure footedness I can control. It makes total sense now that this has been my “go to” in managing the ups and downs of life.

I feel grateful to have many tools to balance myself, with the INFINITY being one of my favorites. Now with this valuable information on my energetic body, I can fine tune my biofeedback sessions to balance the stress energetically. Throw in some coloring books, a hot tub, my altar, and some meditation and just wait ‘til you see what’s coming up! I am 43 and just getting started!

10 Tips to Detoxing Naturally

10 tips to Staying Healthy and Detoxing Naturally….do it because you can!

Detox it vital in this toxic world. As a health conscious person for years, I had focused simply on digestion because I do believe that good digestion leads to a healthy life. But then one day I realized that in order to have good digestion, you must be detoxing properly. The light went off in my head. Detox for a better digestion because good digestion leads to less inflammation and less inflammation leads to less disease in this world. Let me say it again:  decrease the inflammation and prevent disease.

Hippocrates said it best, “All disease begins in the gut.”

So, if this is true and disease begins in the gut, aka your digestive system, then having a healthy & strong digestion is key. But let me share one secret:  when the body is toxic, your digestive system is weak. So even if you eat “clean” and only buy organic and hormone-free foods, you are still breathing toxicity in this world.

We live, eat, and breathe toxicity everyday. Look around your home and think of the paint on the walls, the rugs, the pesticides sprayed on your green grass, the exterminator to get rid of the bugs, and even if you are chemical-free in your home, is your make up chemical-free?

Even if you are totally chemical-free and using make up that is aluminum-free plus other non-toxic chemicals, we are still living and that means eating, breathing, and sleeping in a toxic environment.

Unless you feel that are ready to live in a bubble or a hyperbaric chamber, then it is time to wake up to what I call “daily detox”. Now detox is not a curse word or anything to be scared about; instead, it is exciting to think about your body & cells actually functioning. I do not tell people detox has to be living on juices, water only, smoothies, or just salad or soup. Detox is about lessening the toxic load in your body. As I say, “Taking out the trash.”

See, when we are toxic our body cannot perform its job. The body cannot metabolize properly, detox properly, absorb nutrients and minerals, or stay hydrated. It is a vicious cycle. See detox is necessary to be healthy, happy, & free of disease. We all have some low level inflammation because, again, we breathe but, even more so, we stress in this busy world.

So, every time we stress, we create acid in our body, and our body is forced to pull minerals to buffer the acid waste, and then our liver, lymph, and kidneys begin to work hard to filter out the toxic load but what happens when the body is tired and clogged?

When your digestive system is not working and cannot break down these foods, it cannot focus on getting RID of TOXINS, and that means you cannot get rid of bloat, fat, and skin breakouts and all that jazz that keeps you tired.

TOXINS => INFLAMMATION => WEAK DIGESTION =>

•   Difficult weight management

•   Constipation/Diarrhea

•   Gas/Bloating

•   Headaches

•   Low energy

•   Low sex drive

•   Bad skin

•   Heartburn/Reflux

•   Moodiness/Depression

Get where I am going with all of this?

By detoxing, YOU will improve digestion and therefore free your body of inflammation and toxins.

The foundation of a detox is NOT to ever feel deprived or starved. The goal is to help YOU do what I have learned to do in my own life:  learn how to EAT CLEAN and learn what foods are IRRITATING your body.

Eating clean is a way of life, not a diet.

So, we begin to eat whole foods that promote detox in a safe and natural way. No, you do not have to only drink juices, or soups, or smoothies, or go on a grapefruit-eating-only diet; instead, you need to eat foods that are not irritating your digestive system and clogging it up.

Is this making sense?

So here are my 10 tips for staying healthy & detoxing naturally:

1.    Upon waking, drink warm or room water with lemon and 1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar (if tolerated) and add a dash of cinnamon or cayenne.

2.    Start your day by being positive. Find a daily affirmation that gets you fired up. I love Louise Hay, Geneen Roth, Gabrielle Bernstein, and Marianne Williamson.

3.    Try getting quiet without yourself, even just for one minute, and say, “I release what does not serve me.” Hold your heart as you say this out loud and scream it if you want. Own that power. Do it in the shower.

4.    Drink fresh, green juices or make your own green juice with 1 tbsp chlorophyll, lemon/lime and water.

5.    Aim for one meal that is super easy on your digestion per day. Try a smoothie, green juice, or soup to give that digestion a rest.

6.    Get moving & shaking. Yes, exercise is one of the best ways to detox your body.

7.    Drink plenty of water & add lemon, lime, or grapefruit to flush the toxicity.

8.    Skin brushing is my favorite way to support the liver and get rid of those toxins

9.    Tongue Brushing.

10. BE Happy & grateful for life.
